On any given Saturday, the sidewalks along Austin’s South Congress Avenue are jammed with locals and tourists drawn to its popular boutiques, luxury hotels, and boot stores with bars tucked inside. Many well-known chains have replaced the homegrown favorites, including vintage shops, that not too long ago gave this street its charm. Now it’s known, unironically, as SoCo. Located in the middle of it all is jewelry designer Kendra Scott’s flagship store, a local business that’s also a national brand.
