Our primary obsession here at Texas Monthly is storytelling—that was true when we were founded, in 1973, and it remains true today, more than fifty years later. What has changed in those intervening decades, with the advent of digital media, is the proliferation of ways we can tell stories. We once had only a print magazine, but now our work appears on our website, in our podcasts, in several annual events, as a PBS show, and even as the basis for hit TV shows and movies.
