Queso Creamed Spinach Is the Ultimate Steak Side Dish

Dining at a steakhouse happens in beats. In a song, you have a verse, a bridge, and a chorus. At a Texas steakhouse, such as Humphrey Pete’s or Taste of Texas, you have onion rings; pints of beer; salad with ranch on a cold plate; and thick, opulent slices of chocolate cake. Everything works together in perfect harmony. Up north, it’s not a steakhouse dinner without creamed spinach. Sure, it appears on certain steakhouse menus around Texas, but let’s just say it’s not from around here. I do, however, think we should embrace the dish. Part side and part dip, it is basically a vehicle for eating cream and cheese with greens thrown in there as a bonus for health, I guess.
