When tejano star Selena Quintanilla-Pérez was killed, on March 31, 1995, twenty-year-old Andy Ramirez heard the news on the television in her living room in Dallas’s Oak Cliff neighborhood. As she drove down Hampton Road, she noticed a line of cars waiting to go into Country Burger.
