Kimberly M. Vazquez and Alyssa Estrada Join Texas Monthly
Texas Monthly is excited to announce two new members of our editorial team: Kimberly M. Vazquez and Alyssa Estrada.Vazquez, who hails from Laredo, joins us as our new fact-checker. In her role, she’ll help support our ongoing mission of editorial integrity and accuracy in what we publish. Vazquez comes to Texas Monthly from Chicago magazine, where she served as a fact-checker. She’s also a freelance production editor at literary magazine Same Faces Collective, copyediting and revising works of nonfiction, fiction, and poetry. She’s a graduate of Columbia College Chicago.Vazquez rounds out Texas Monthly’s diligent fact-checking team, which welcomed its new research chief, Doyin Oyeniyi, in the fall.
