The Spurs’ Sisters Versus Danhausen: Who’s Got More Mojo?
The Salesian Sisters of Saint John Bosco, of San Antonio’s west side, might be the highest-profile Spurs fans in the country. They sit courtside at home games, black-and-silver jerseys pulled over their habits, cheering on the team. They host watch parties for away games, choosing to stay in the community they serve, offering fans young and old a welcoming environment and a general air of goodwill. They’ll get more chances to do all those things over the next two weeks, as the Spurs host the New York Knicks for the first two games of the NBA Finals on Wednesday and Friday, before the series moves to New York for games three and four next Monday and Wednesday.
