Churchrow’s kitchen is helmed by Miguel Vidal, the former owner, chef, and pitmaster of Valentina’s, a groundbreaking joint that imploded suddenly and spectacularly in 2024. While Vidal’s talent is undeniable, Churchrow’s pit room hasn’t yet achieved the level of consistency I came to expect at Valentina’s.
