‘Landman,’ Based on a Texas Monthly and Imperative Entertainment Podcast, Is Renewed for a Second Season

Paramount announced Wednesday that its hit show Landman will have a second season. Since its November debut, the series has received critical acclaim for its riveting portrayal of the fortune-seeking culture of daring and drama that surrounds the world of West Texas oil.Landman, cocreated by award-winning director and screenwriter Taylor Sheridan and Texas Monthly alum Christian Wallace, is based on the Texas Monthly and Imperative Entertainment podcast Boomtown, which Wallace hosted. The documentary podcast captured the rugged world of oil during West Texas’s modern-day gold rush.
