Barbarossa TroughThe Barbarossa Trough celebrates its one-year anniversary in September. The creaky old wooden box in northwestern Guadalupe County opens six days a week in the afternoons and closes an hour or two after sunset. Weekend crowds from nearby Geronimo, Zorn, New Braunfels, and Seguin gather to listen to the old jukebox. There’s beer, wine, and cocktails; an outdoor stage for live music; a playground; and a kitchen serving burgers and sandwiches.
