Massively Endearing MissiveI lived in Dallas for a fat minute in the early aughts. I picked up Texas Monthly and subscribed so I could try to understand this massive, quirky, and endearing place. But sometimes I think, “Geez, will I ever live in Texas again? Do I need to keep reading and subscribing to this thing? Is it relevant to my existence now?” But I’m compelled to write to you because I just read Stephen Harrigan’s piece in the November 2024 issue about the painting that once hung in his grandparents’ house [“The Unknown Masterwork”].
