Texas Music’s Brightest Stars Are Lending Their Talents to Flood Relief
Catastrophes such as the historic flood that killed more than 130 people and ravaged portions of Central Texas and the Hill Country on July 4, 2025, tend to bring with them few silver linings. But the bigheartedness of Texans who have pitched in—through all manner of volunteer efforts and direct monetary contributions—has certainly supplied a welcome bright spot.In the six weeks that have passed since the tragedy, generous citizens from across the state and far beyond have pitched in with rescue efforts, cleanup, and counseling and emotional support, as well as by opening their wallets and pocketbooks to the tune of tens of millions of dollars.
