It was Sunday evening, and the 37-year-old was in the middle of her set at the historic Gruene Hall—the first of a three-night stint to celebrate the May 1 release of her sixth studio album, Middle of Nowhere. The eight-hundred-capacity dance hall is a century older and tens of thousands of seats smaller than many of the arenas Musgraves will tour through later this year. But the Golden native, and her music, felt right at home.
